Martin & Helms Is Fighting Hunger in the 7th Annual Alabama Food Frenzy!

It’s Food Frenzy time!
As you may know, Martin & Helms is a proud supporter of the Food Bank of North Alabama. That’s why we love participating in the annual Alabama Legal Food Frenzy, which helps raise money for our food bank.
The 7th annual Alabama Legal Food Frenzy, presented by the Food Bank of North Alabama, starts on April 4th, and runs through April 15th. This year’s food drive is entirely virtual, making it easier than ever to participate in this friendly competition. Martin & Helms will be competing once again in the Small Law Firm category, but we hope our colleagues at firms and legal organizations of all sizes will join in. You can sign up to participate between March 3, 2022 and April 3, 2022.
Here’s what you need to know to register or donate for this event, per the Alabama Food Frenzy’s official rules:
- “All funds collected will go to your local Food Bank in Alabama that is part of the Feeding America Network.
- Awards are based on Pounds Collected Per Employee. When registering online, count each person working at your firm, regardless of position.
- Each dollar contributed will count as four pounds of food.
- You must sign up before the contest begins to compete (between March 3 and April 3). The contest begins on April 4, 2022 and ends on April 15, 2022.
When the competition ends, all of the pounds are calculated and “winners” are selected from each of the five categories (small, medium, and large firms; solo practitioners; and legal organizations).

The firm with the greatest amount of food collected per employee will be awarded the Attorney General’s Cup. Martin & Helms won the Attorney General’s Cup for the last two years, but the real winner was the Food Bank of North Alabama.
